about Flametree

Sarah grew up in Kenya which has had a major influence on her cookery and the food produced at Flametree. The tastes of Kenya are unique - a mix of African, European & Indian cookery made with only the freshest ingredients. Much of the food cooked at Flametree Catering is based on recipes gleaned from many of the women in Nairobi's international community, for which we are extremely grateful.

The name "Flametree" was inspired by the tree outside 'The MAF Nairobi Guesthouse' and is a tribute to life in East Africa.

Sarah qualified in Hotel, Catering & Institutional Management in 1997. Since then she has catered for many events both here in the UK and in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she worked with Fugard-Gous Caterers and gained much of her corporate experience catering for clients such as The British Consulate, FedEx, JP Morgan and McKinsey & Co.
